| Let's talk about your pasta... |

|
|
|
| There is probably no food more versatile than pasta.
You can top it with a sauce, toss it with veggies or top
it with cheese. Let's hear some of the unique ways that
you have incorporated pasta into your meals. The simpler
the recipe the better. Remember this site is written by

| Everyone who knows me knows that I am a peanut butter
fanatic. I am constantly looking for ways to incorporate
more peanut butter into my daily life. Well I came upon a
great recipe where you start with cooked and drained
angel hair noodles. By the way, the angel cooks as soon
as it hits the boiling water, thumbs up. You add
margarine, soy sauce, peanut butter, and hot sauce to
taste. Stir and heat until it all melts together in a
sauce. You don't get much easier or yummier than that. |

| You want an easy recipe. Well here it is. Cook and
drain spaghetti noodles. Remove noodles and in same pan
heat up olive oil and saute one pint of grape tomatos,
sliced, with two tablespoons of fresh minced garlic. When
garlic is brown and tomatos look wrinkly, add pasta back
to pan. Toss to coat, adding more olive oil if needed.
Then add one half cup of grated parmesan cheese and heat
through. |

| I could never get Alfredo sauce to turn out right. So
one day when I was in an experimental mood I cooked the
pasta and then to the hot pasta I added milk, parmesan
cheese, and real butter. I then heated up the whole thing
until it all melted together, shook on a little oregano
and served it with some garlic bread. Everyone loved it! |

| I hope my mother doesn't see this. She'll think she
was a failure at raising me to be a good Italian wife.
One night I was desperate for a side dish and I didn't
have much on the shelf. So I cooked some thin egg noodles
and tossed them with some margarine. Than in a moment of
inspiration I stirred in some jarred pesto I had bought
at the grocery store. Even the kids ate it and I have to
admit these noodles were better than most of the pastas I
make from scratch. |

| I remember once seeing an infomercial for a pasta
maker and they advertised chocolate pasta as a desert. So
one night out of curiosity I took some extra lasagna
noodles and spread them with melted chocolate and and ice
cream. I put a layer of noodles on top and spread them
with the rest of the chocolate and some whipped topping.
Most people I tell this too think it sounds gross, but
something about the combination of the warm noodles and
the ice cream is irresistable. |

| Editor's Note: I think this sounds pretty gross,
but since it involves chocolate I am going to try it
anyway. |

| You know those noodles that are in a corkscrew shape,
I'm not sure what you call them. Mix those with half of a
bag of cheddar cheese, some spicy jack cheese and half a
cup of half and half for the most amazing macaroni and
cheese you every ate. If your kids can't eat hot food
than substitute monteray jack for the spicy cheese. |
