Beam us outta here Scotty!

Let's just say through some magical (or drug induced) happening that your husband decided to take the kids and stay at his parents for the day. On that same day, your boss calls you and tells you that you have been working so hard lately that you can take the day off. Finally, it is reported on the news that science has finally come out with a Star Trek like transporter and now travelling anywhere in the world can be accomplished in a matter of seconds. What would you do? Where would you go? Anyone who answers that they would spend the day catching up on housework will be banned from the site for life. Remember this site is written by you! If you would like to submit your fantasy for all to see click here. I will choose approximately 10-20 per week to post.

Chief Mommy Owl - Water Park
I know this sounds ridiculous for someone my age, but I love to ride waterslides. I want to go one day by myself to whatever the best water park in the country is and ride all of the rides. Well, not all of the rides. I will make a point of skipping the kiddie slides and the "tadpole rides." Send me screaming one hundred miles an hour down a fifty story waterslide and I would be in heaven. The only time I would take a break would be to enjoy something fattening and greasy at the snack bar.

A Romp in the Desert- Brenda H.., New Mexico
I have always regretted that I never took an African Safari before I had children. A couple I know took one for their honeymoon and the scenes they described sounded breathtaking. I would climb overgrown mountain paths with a native guide to get a glimpse at the gorillas. I would ride in a tan jeep out onto the desert plains to get a view of the big cats. I would ride down narrow waterways on an open pontoon boat to safely watch the crocodiles hunt their prey. Ah to dream, anyway.
Editor's note: I think we have a poet on our hands. Never say Never!

Shop till ya Drop- Marianne J., Florida
We once took a trip to New York City with the kids, which was a lot of fun. But, with all the sightseeing I didn't even have one afternoon to myself to shop. I wanted to stroll through midtown and look in all the high priced windows and to buy something from every floor of Bloomingdales. I want to literally have breakfast at Tiffany's and then buy something sparkly to remember it by.

Tennis Anyone- Sarah L., West Virginia
I have always loved watching tennis on TV. I think my ideal vacation would be to go spend a day watching the finals at Wimbeldon. The best would be if Jennifer Capriati was playing and I could sit near all of the celebrities with a good view of the royal family.

Grand Canyon- Lana G.., Arizona
We have taken the kids to the Grand Canyon three times, but I would like to go on a trip and do all of the things there that you can't do with small children. I would hike and take a mule ride. Then I would find the most thrilling dangerous white water rafting trip and ride it twice.

The Rockettes- Missy R.., California
When I was a kid , I used to watch the Rockettes on TV at Christmas time and dream of the day that I could be one of them. Well, I think my day to become a Rockette has come and gone, but it would sure be fun to visit New York at Christmas time and go to a show at Radio City Music hall. While I was there I would skate at Rockefeller center and see the big tree.
Editor's Note: Sounds like a real kick. From first hand experience I can say that the skating rink is 1/3 of the size it looks on TV and NYC in the winter is pretty darn cold.
